A Bit of Fashion Week History

Fashion Week as you may have guessed, actually started around 1858 in Paris. It was there for the first time, that a clothing designer had live models present his fashions to audiences prior to a season. Fashion Week made its way to the United States in 1903, in New York City.

Today, the most prominent fashion weeks are held around the world with the “Big Four” being in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Given that, many cities across the United States stage fashion weeks, but in the west, only one stands supreme as the largest, and that is Fashion Week El Paseo.
