The homeowners of Trilogy at La Quinta voted overwhelmingly to purchase the golf course and restaurant. The Trilogy at La Quinta Maintenance Association (TLQMA) will hire BlueStar Resort and Golf to bring the course back to its original PGA Skins Game quality, when from 2003-2006, Tiger Woods, Fred Couples, and Annika Sorenstam were among the professionals playing there.

BlueStar will also modernize the golf course restaurant and re-orient it’s dining areas to take full advantage of the spectacular golf course and panoramic San Jacinto Mountain views. A new pro-shop, refreshed driving range, and other amenities will draw golfers from all over the Coachella Valley.

Donna Ambrose, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Indian Wells, and a Trilogy La Quinta homeowner with her husband since 2009, is so excited to see the Trilogy resort being given a facelift.

“Trilogy at La Quinta is a relatively small community of 1,238 homes, and to many of its residents, golf is more than a sport, it’s a lifestyle that provides a strong social network for its players while on and off the course,” said Ambrose. “Today, the Trilogy homeowners voted to maintain its tradition as a golf resort community, and to give rise to a reinvigorated first-rate golf course and restaurant that they and the public can enjoy well into the future.”

Ambrose also stated that given its majestic mountain view location within the affluent city of La Quinta, home buyers can expect home prices to rise rapidly even before the anticipated 2024 year-end reopening of the Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta.

TRILOGY GOLF COURSE TO UNDERGO MULTI-MILLION-DOLLAR RENOVATION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LA QUINTA (Jan. 22, 2024) – The golf course at Trilogy at La Quinta, home of the PGA Skins Game from 2003-2006, will undergo a multi-million-dollar renovation following approval by homeowners to acquire and refurbish the celebrated course.

Located at the base of the beautiful Santa Rosa Mountains, the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Panks will be restored to its original top-tier condition. Trilogy hosted recreational golfers, premiere college and junior events, and professionals such as Tiger Woods, Fred Couples and Annika Sorenstam since its opening in 2002.

The golf course and restaurant, closed since late 2022, will be open to the public for dining and public play following renovations that are scheduled to begin this Spring. Reopening of the golf course and restaurant is scheduled in November for the 2024 – 2025 season. Subject to closing conditions, escrow is anticipated to close at the end of February.

The measure to acquire and restore the property was overwhelmingly approved by Trilogy at La Quinta homeowners on January 22. The homeowners approved:

  • Acquisition of the 229-acre golf course and restaurant property by the Trilogy HOA.
  • Renovation of the golf course to its original design, including fairways, rolling greens, sand bunkers, and dramatic water features. Use of multiple tees stretches the course to its original 7,200-yard Skins Game length yet also offers play as short as 5,000 yards from the player-friendly forward tees.
  • Extensive remodeling of the property’s onsite restaurant to improve its interior design and exterior appearance.
  • Operation of the golf course and restaurant by BlueStar Resort & Golf, the original operator of the course when it was opened by the developer, Shea Homes.
  • Branding the golf course under its original name: Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta.
”We are extremely excited for the opportunity to take control of our community’s future and bringing back the legacy of this wonderful golf course property,” said Mark Reider, President of the Trilogy at La Quinta Maintenance Association. ”We want to thank everyone who has been a part of this rebirthing process. We look forward to welcoming home our own community members and all those who want to enjoy this renovated golf course and redesigned restaurant property. We could not have picked a better operator than BlueStar to partner with on this
journey.”
